Apple is one of the few company’s that I hold in high regard. I’m a mac partisan, an Apple zealot. I drink the Apple kool aid, I drink it up. But with that said,  iphone 2.0 is a disaster on multiple levels. Bugs and glitches are the kind of shit you expect from Microsoft, not Apple. But the greater problem is that although the price of the iphone was lowered, the fees and plan pricing have been raised. So basically instead of getting screwed up front, you get screwed on a monthly basis for 2 years. That’s not hot. Lastly who the hell wants to go out and buy a new phone that looks exactly like the phone they bought last year? Oh, and by the way I think I might just buy a Blackberry curve instead.

In my opinion the iphone has been a bit of a disappointment since day one. The iphone is great, it’s a beautiful device, but it has issues. First and foremost when you look at the iphone 1.0 purely as a phone, it’s simply not a very good phone. The call quality is terrible, the battery life is worse. The speakers for the ringer are shit as well. The main reason why I sold my iphone is that I was always paranoid about dropping the dam thing. 

Starbucks blogging/iphone 2.0

Starbucks has recently begun offering free wifi, well sorta free. I had to buy a stupid $5 gift card, then register it online. With that you get complimentary access to an at&t wifi hotspot for 2 hours a day. As an at&t customer you would think that they would give me free access to their wifi hotspots, right? Hell no. If we can squeeze every penny out of you, we will. Capitalism 101 folks. Anyways, how bout that iphone 2.0 huh? Yeah, remarkably it looks just like the one i bought last year, only better, cheaper, and faster. I sold my iphone last week on ebay for $295, but the dude i sold it to won’t get it until tommorrow or Wensday, so i’m just waiting for him to email me some bullshit reason why he’s returning the phone and wants a full refund. Did i mention, i haven’t even gotten paid for it yet? Nope, paypal is holding the payment until dude gives me good feedback indicating he got the phone and is pleased with the transaction. Fucking paypal…

I don’t care either way, i actually miss my iphone and all it’s pretentious “i’m better than you” apple snobbery. I’m sitting outside starbucks right now, the two chics sitting next to me are running their mouths way too loud, i wish they’d shut the fuck up. Anyways back to cellphones, i’m really liking the Sprint M520, if the iphone sale goes through, i’ll probably port my other number over to Sprint.
