Where the fuck are all the sales?

November 20, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I went to the Gap last week. Generally I don’t like the Gap because their clothing sucks. Actually I’m somewhat surprised that they aren’t bankrupt yet. While I was there I did buy a shirt. I’m pleased with my purchase. The shirt fits me well and looks pretty good on me. But the thing that pissed me off is that it was full price. WTF? We’re in an economic downturn and I want discounts! The least they could do is give me a second shirt for 50% off or something. As a matter of fact all of the shit in the mall that I wanted to buy that day was not on sale.

Fashion Warnings

September 28, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Ladies it’s my duty to tell you when a fashion trend can make you a fashion victim. Let’s cut right to the chase. Leggings. I’m seeing more and more women wearing leggings under skirts and dresses. Fucking stop. It’s not hip, it’s not cool, it’s not sexy, it’s not fashionable. It looks fucking stupid. Also I’ve noticed that some people are trying to bring plaid back. Don’t fucking do it. Plaid is inexcusable and offensive.

Women and their scarves

August 3, 2008 · 1 Comment

In today’s New York Times Fashion and Style section there is a slide show about the new women’s fashion trend, scarves in the middle of summer. Love it. Although it’s not actually “new” to those who have style, I still think it’s very hip, and it’s an accessory I used to employ back when I lived in NY. Although I don’t think I’ve ever worn one in the summer. And yes, men with style can wear scarves too.
