Stupid fucking Democrats

December 9, 2008 · Leave a Comment

First Spitzer, now this idiot Blagojevich. The Spitzer thing broke my heart because he was one of the few Democrats willing to take on the Wall street criminals. He would have made a great attorney general. Blogojevich on the other hand seems to be just another worthless egomaniacal political fuckthead who thought he was above the law. Ironically the prosecutor who will send Blogo to jail is none other than Patrick Fitzgerald. You remember Patrick Fitzgerald don’t you? He was the impotent fuck who failed to indict Karl Rove, but instead decided to beat up on Dick Cheney’s little boyfriend Scooter Libby.

Local Tampa Politics

November 5, 2008 · Leave a Comment

One of the great highlights of last nights local results was the stunning defeat of right wing dumb ass Brian Blair. He lost his Hillsborough County Commissioner District 6 seat to Democrat Kevin Beckner. What made this race so interesting is that Beckner is openly gay. Brian Blair being the typical low life right-winger that he is, decided to take that race into the gutter and play smear the queer. Blair ran commercials featuring his wife, who talked about how she and her idiot husband have been married for 26 years. Also in the last weeks of the campaign Blair became desperate and began running gay bashing robo calls against Beckner. But in the end the Obama effect was too great even for the well-funded right wing piece of shit Brian Blair to overcome.

All tonights parties

November 4, 2008 · 2 Comments

My fellow liberals, enjoy yourselves tonight. Stay in the moment, soak up every second of it, because this is going to be historic, and things like this only happen once in a life time. We’ve lived under eight years of maddness, corruption and incompetance that has brought our country to the edge of collapse. After eight years of evil, perhaps now this country will truly have a chance to be great.

As for me, I’ll be starting off my night of fun early this evening at a young professionals election watching party, then later in the night I’ll probably go to one of the official Democratic parties.

All you need to know about the bailout is

September 28, 2008 · 2 Comments

From the NYT:

Republicans were also able to force from the bill provisions they described as favoring labor and liberal housing groups. And Democrats abandoned a proposal to have bankruptcy judges adjust mortgages for strapped homeowners.

Homeowners in trouble get nothing. Wall Street gets everything. Fuck the Democrats for going along with this shit. But then again, that’s all they’ve done for the last eight years is get on their knees and blow the Republican party. This country is an absolutely fucking disgrace.

Enough.

August 28, 2008 · Leave a Comment

While Obama was speaking I was actually distracted and doing something else on the internets. But when I heard him forcefully say “enough”, it really caught my ear. Something about it was very powerful. Like a firm statement of righteous indignation after bearing witness to eight years of corruption and incompetance.

Another winning line was “individual responsibility and mutual responsibility“. Obviously that is a critique of the Republican’s “personal responsibility” nonsense. The whole problem with the Republican version of personal responsibility is that whenever they’re personally responsible for crime, they take the personal responsibility of making sure that no one holds them personally responsible for what they’ve personally done.

All in all I think Obama delivered a great speech, and took some hard shots at old man Mccain. I had my doubts about the whole open air stadium thing, but it seems to have come off well. I’m sure it must have looked impressive in HD.

btw- I’ve never liked the song “Born in the USA” until I heard it tonight.
