Have you ever wondered what the heck does “The Inexact Science” mean? Well, today I shall explain it to you. But first I want to tell you that the Inexact Science blog ended to correspond with the end of the semester, and I’ve begun the next chapter, The Evolution of Robby Wales.

So what the did the Inexact Science mean? Well it meant two things. It was sort of a joke or a comedy skit that I had in my mind for a while, and it’s also sort of a bad philosophical outlook on life that I had. Imagine if you got to meet the president or the Dali lama or some uber achiever adventurer type. Now imagine if you will, that you got a chance to ask them what was the secret to their success? Or how did they achieve such great things, and their response was to simply just shrug their shoulders and say “meh, it’s an inexact science”, as if to say life is a combination of luck, happenstance and falling into good fortune. A big letdown…

That was sort of my attitude for a long time, and that is part of the reason why I never set academic or career goals for myself. I just kind of figured that eventually I’d stumble into the right thing. The inexact science represented a chapter of my life where I let things happen to me, instead of making things happen for me. The inexact science represented a time in my life where I worked without a plan, hoped for the best, and basically achieved nothing. That time is over. I have specific goals and milestones I want to achieve, a particular type of career I want to pursue, and a desire to continue post graduate education. For the first time I have a workable long term and short term plan that should get me to where I want to be in life, the city in which I would like to live, the type of people I want to interact with, and the types of personal relationships I want to have. I began this journey in the spring of 08, I should hit my first major milestone around 2012.

From the land that brought you tacos, tequila, and illegal immigrants. Now they’ve presented the world with a plague that will no doubt kill us all, swine flu.

Origins- So apparently some mexican dude fucked a pig and now we have an impending global disaster.

Political implications-I can just see all the Lou Dobbs/Rush Limbuagh fans screaming a big “I told you so, you should have built a wall on the border!”

How this effects me- I was so proud of myself for getting through the whole spring semester without getting sick.

How this effects you- You will get seriously ill and either die or turn into a zombie

How this effects mexicans- And you thought anti-mexican sentiment was high before!

How this effects the NBA playoffs- I don’t know, there aren’t many mexicans in the NBA

1- Nobody gives a shit about what Sarah Palin supporters think.

2- Everyone knows the teabagger movement is full of morons, racists, confederate sympathizers, neo nazis, and fox news fans.

I’m not sure if it’s borderline retarded or borderline racist. Whoever created this ad is a muther fucking moron who obviously has never had the awesome dish known as Paella. I’m no stranger to Puerto Rican cookery, because I’m half Puerto Rican and a very skilled chef aswell. Hopefully every Puerto Rican person who sees this ad will drop Verizon and never do business with them ever again. If any exec at Verizon has a fucking brain they’ll pull this ad immediately before they piss off every Puerto Rican in the world.

I found this little gem on Drudge today. If you read the headline and first paragraph it’s a pretty clear illustration of how the right wing noise machine frames and distorts issues. The article is framed as if republican disapproval actually means something, rather than it being an indication that republicans are not even worth being taken seriously.

73% of all republicans disapprove of President Obama. I’m willing to bet that more than 80% of that 73% thinks Obama is either a secret muslim, not a U.S citizen, a terrorist, or the anti christ. But of course that part of the polling was left out.

A few weeks ago the NYT ran a story about her influence peddling to get money for some shitty bank that she had direct ties to, then last week during the AIG uproar she blamed the Obama administration, and check this moronic performance she put on today while questioning Timothy Geithner.
