If you’ve watched any of the UFC Prime time shows you may have noticed B.J Penn has been talking the type of shit that goes above and beyond normal trash talking. It’s been along the lines of personal attacks and low class insults. It really says a lot about the type of person B.J Penn is. I find it rather curious that a man who was beaten the first time seems to run his mouth like he is undefeated.
GSP will beat Penn again. I really see no way B.J Penn can win except for a Matt Serra type of fluke. Penn has no gas tank, no heart, and no K.O power. GSP is far superior to him on every level of MMA except for maybe Jiu-Jitsu, and frankly I’m not really willing to concede that to Penn either. I don’t understand all the hype around Penn. Can someone please tell me who the fuck has B.J Penn ever beaten? Why is he held in such high regard? Perhaps it’s because he does occasionally show flashes of greatness and great technique. But more often he has show flashes of being a guy who is very good, but not great.
Frankly I don’t expect major fireworks in tonight’s fight. I expect some decent exchanges, I don’t think either fighter will get rocked. I expect GSP to score enough takedowns and GnP to win rounds, and I expect Penn to completely gas by the end of the third or fourth round. Watch their first fight, then watch GSP’s last fight against Fitch and then tell me why exactly Penn will win this one. He won’t…

Hopefully someone will inform Micheal Steele that in fact the GOP already has a party leader and his name is Rush Limbaugh. Yup, Rush Limbaugh that good ole drug addicted, racist, fat piece of shit is the voice of the party, and he’s also it’s fat face. Micheal Steele was given the GOP party chairmanship in a superficial attempt to make the GOP look a little less racist and pitiful than it really is. America elected Barack Obama in a landslide, meanwhile Micheal Steele was no better than the GOP’s sixth choice for a virtually meaningless PR position. That should tell you all you need to know about the Republican party.

All this talk about Fedor being the best fighter in the world should officially end tonight. Fedor looked slow, out of shape, and he was begging to be knocked out. He got lucky with prayer of a right hand that caught Mr. Hardluck Arlovski in mid air. The UFC should’nt even waste their money on Fedor, he’s simply not worth it.
Now with that said, kudos to Affliction. They put on another very good show. Hopefully they made their ppv numbers and hopefully there will be an Affliction three.

Never has there been a man so undeserving and so unqualified to be the leader of the free world. But in the end George W. Bush did us all a favor. He showed America that he and his Republican colleagues are corrupt, incompetent, and incapable of leadership. Karl Rove once boasted of building the permanent Republican majority. Now eight years later all that is left of the Republican party are fanatics, racists, and Palin supporters.
George W. Bush was the living breathing embodiment of entitlement. A child of privilege who was given a career and success, yet has the arrogance and sheer stupidity to believe he it did it on his own. In the final analysis, I think a landscaping business would have been more of George W. Bush’s speed, or maybe a lawn mower dealership. I’m sure he would have been far more successful had he been given that career path instead.

First and foremost no one should be surprised. Ziff was in freaking bankruptcy, we already knew this. Second, the U.S economy is in a severe recession and that obviously effects the video game industry and it’s related industries aswell. Lastly, look at how many people jumped ship last year, that should have told you everything you needed to know. Personally my interest in 1up pretty much ended when the legendary Shawn Elliott left. I still tuned into 1up yours to hear my remaining favorites, Shane and Garnet Lee, but I knew eventually they’d be gone too.
To UGO, here is a comment that i left on Jeff Greens blog
I had never heard of UGO until you mentioned it on the GWJ podcast. I’ve never even looked at UGO’s website until today, and I’m not surprised to see that it’s a piece of shit that looks like a poor man’s version of IGN, (which btw is a piece of shit in and of itself).
I have no interest in UGO’s version of 1up.com just like I have no interest in Gamespot post Gerstmangate.
To the people who made 1up.com great, I want to say thank you for all the entertainment and information you guys provided. I loved the Brodeo, 1up yours was the greatest (until david ellis became a regular) and the 1up Show was always fun. Thank you guys, I will continue to read your blogs and twitters and I look forward to hearing you on various podcasts in the future.

For a long time I really didn’t care about graduating, which is probably why I didn’t graduate. I went to school for entertainment purposes only. But along the way I did manage to pick up almost 80 credits. So upon returning to school full time i’m not exactly starting from square one. I’ve got nothing better to do right now, so I might as well finish my degree and hopefully get a real job someday. The thing that pisses me off is that I have to undue some of the gpa damage that my previous lackadaisical attitude caused. Oh what a tangled academic web I’ve weaved. When I dropped out of USF i was on academic probation, which later turned to dismissal. So to get back into USF i’ve had to go back down to the minor leagues aka junior college. Fortunately i’m only 12 credits short of an associates and if everything goes smoothly I should be done this summer and back at USF in the fall 09.
Once summer rolls around i’m faced with a more complicated problem. I’m not 100% sure whether or not I should go back to my original major which is marketing or if I should pursue an advertising/public relations degree or communications degree. Marketing would take me back to USF, advertising/pr would take me to University of Tampa with it’s $26,000 a year tuition, and that presents a whole nother issue within itself. The only reason i’m even considering UT is because their gpa requirements aren’t as annoyingly fucking ridiculous as USF’s and I can get the major I want. But UT ain’t cheap like USF and it would mean that for the next two years I would really really need my real estate career to not only pay my bills but to pay my exorbitant tuition. Hopefully by May I should know for certain how this will play out.
