The Inexact Science

Georgia fails again

The southern strategy might be dead, but the old south is still alive and well in Georgia. I really didn’t think Jim Martin had any chance of winning the runoff. If he was going to win he had to make it happen on Nov 4th not Dec 2nd. Some on the left were clammering for Obama to go down and stump for Martin, frankly I’m glad he didn’t because it wouldn’t have made a difference anyway. And besides, a newly elected President has no business sticking his nose into partisian electorial politics before he is even inaugurated. While on the other side, every big name Republican piece of shit parachuted into Georgia to aid poor Saxby, and his bum knees. He even got a visit from America’s prize pig Sarah Palin and Saint Rudy of 911. It’s so funny to hear these dickhead Republicans talking about the need to maintain a balance of power. I don’t remember hearing anything about the need for a balance of power when the Republicans were trying to set up their new thousand year Reich in 04.

It’s sad that a city like Atlanta has to be in a state like Georgia.
